An SEO Workflow That 2x Your Visibility
DoorLoop’s SEO strategy to win more SERP real estate without content and links
I last published an SEO newsletter episode on August 11, and it has been four months since then. So apologies for not being consistent 🙇.
The break happened for a good reason — this year was the busiest year for our SEO agency. We expanded our team and onboarded new clients, including a few enterprise accounts.
From now on, I will try to be more consistent and share real SEO case studies we are working on.
Let’s dive into today’s SEO Growth Note.
If you create long-form video content, chances are you never use it to its full SEO value. Most brands only post the video on YouTube and repurpose short clips for social media.
You can also use these videos to gain strong SEO benefits.
The idea is simple 💡
Create a video section on your website that works like a video archive. Publish each long-form video on its own webpage and embed the same YouTube video there.
Then optimize the video webpage with:
SEO focused meta title
Meta description
Video summary (use AI to summarise from the transcript)
VideoObject schema markup
This helps you increase visibility across YouTube, social media, and Google Search.
Here is an example from DoorLoop 👇
I searched “How to Convert a Primary Residence to a Rental Property” on Google and found their YouTube tutorial and their webpage with an embedded YouTube video, both ranking on the first page.
Not only that, but their blog article on the same topic is also ranking on the first page for the same keyword.
Here’s what the webpage structure with an embedded video looks like:
The page contains a title tag, meta description, and video embed. You can take this further by adding a video summary, which helps search engines understand the video and the page's relevance.
This is a smart strategy when you publish long-form videos on YouTube. Instead of letting your videos sit only on YouTube, turn them into a webpage with relevant content and a short description. It will increase your reach without extra effort.
Tip: Publish video pages only for evergreen topics. This helps you gain views over a long period and avoids wasting crawl budget on topics that lose relevance after a short time.
Action items:
Create a video archive section on your website
Publish one webpage for each long-form video
Embed the original YouTube video on every page
Add SEO title, meta description, and a video summary
Add VideoObject schema markup
Repeat this workflow for every new video you produce
